World Book Night Looking for Book Givers

world book night

World Book Night has a goal of getting 50,000 people in the US to go out in the community on or about Monday, April 23, and give a book to a stranger or to people you might know. If chosen, you'll be given 20 free paperbacks specially-produced, not-for-resale editions, and there will be 30 titles, including a few young adult titles, for you to choose from. This group, supported by authors and publishers, wants to give away a million books. Mead Library, with the Friends of Mead Public Library, has applied to be a pickup point for your books. You must be at least 16 years old to apply to be a book giver. Learn more and apply at the World Book Night website.
