Friends of Mead Public Library is a non-profit, tax-exempt membership organization open to all. It provides funding and volunteer support for needed materials, equipment, and services as a supplement to City appropriations. A Mead Public Library staff member serves as liaison to the Friends Board.

Members participate in special Library activities and work projects such as the Homebound Delivery Service and shelf reading. The group also sponsors fund raisers in support of the Friends' ability to provide monetary contributions for enhanced Library services. One contribution is funding the availability of BookPage, a book review publication available in the library.

The Friends annual meeting is held in April. Membership information is available at the Library, or click on the current Newsletter for an application .
