Presented by Dennis Merritt, Jungian analyst, therapist/psychotherapist, in private practice in Madison and Milwaukee.

Dreams turn the events of our lives into an evolving story, and Big Dreams turn our life story into a myth. The Chinese picture word for The Sage is described as "the ear listening to the Inner King" and the Inner King/Queen in Jungian terms is the archetype of the Self, the center and centering element in every psyche and the originator of dreams. The presenter will describe some of the various types of dreams, how dreams are related to the creative process, and how we can use dreams to connect us to the land and establish a sense of place. More information on Dennis Merritt and his work is available here.

Mead Library has two DVDs suggested by Dennis Merritt in connection with this program. They are:
Slender Threads: A Conversation With Robert A. Johnson
