The Nonfiction Book Discussion Group will meet with volunteer and librarian Jean Aeder Gort on the following Tuesdays, at 10 a.m., to discuss these titles: Jan. 3: “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” by Barbara Kingsolver; Feb. 7: “Thunderstruck” by Erik Larson; March 6: “Moveable Feast” by Ernest Hemingway; April 3: “Down and Out in Paris and London” by George Orwell; May 1: “Galileo’s Daughter” by Dava Sobel; and June 5: “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey.
There is no registration required for this group. Participants are expected to obtain their own book copies. For help with obtaining a library copy, stop at the second floor Help Desk or call 459-3400, ext. 3422.
The program is offered to the community at no charge, funded by the library's Everhard Forrer Fund and the Friends of Mead Public Library. Persons with disabilities who need accommodations to attend a program should call 459-3400, ext. 3414, at least three weekdays in advance. Seven days are required for a sign language interpreter request.
